Pineapple Seed
The latest I have read on growing pineapples. There are seeds. I did not know that. I have just purchased a new pineapple and will attempt to find the seeds. I have taken a great interest in propagating plants. There are many ways to go about this and I plan on working them all.

Must be the weather
I have planted several pineapple top in the past 6 weeks, none of them are doing very well. I was having so much good luck with all the others. It might have something to do with the weather. I will post pictures of the ones that are doing well in my next post.

Transplant pinapples
Today I took a look at my pineapple tops. They were all growing very well. My wife and I had a discussion as to what to do with them now that they are getting too big for the pots they are in. By the way, I have been planting new tops at the rate of one every other week. We eat a lot of pineapple.
We decided to plant them all together in a portion of our yard and name t the "pineapple plantation".

Growing Pineapples

My wife purchased a pineapple in the store some time ago, I wanted to see what would happen if I took the leafy top of the fruit and planted it in the garden.
I placed it in a tub that I was growing Swiss chard in. To my delight, is started to grow. I have since placed three more tops in the same tub. I am going to transplant them into small pots in a few weeks.
I have since read of several ways to grow pineapples, this will be a great adventure.
